Have you been fired without a reason or notice?
Namaste!
Getting suddenly removed from your job without notice or reason is called illegal dismissal, and it is against the law.
If you have worked for 8 months within the last 1 year, your employer cannot just ask you to leave without giving a reason. They must give you a proper written notice, or one month’s salary instead. They must also pay you for any earned leave, gratuity, or pending dues.
And if your company has more than 100 workers in an industrial establishment, it cannot shut down or dismiss you without first taking permission from the government. If they do, they are breaking the law.
So if this happens to you, don’t stay silent. There is a government place where workers can go for help. It’s called the labour office. They listen to your problem and can make your boss follow the law. It’s free, and you don’t even need a lawyer to go there.
You’ve worked hard and given your time. You deserve respect, not injustice. Don’t let anyone take your rights away.
Speak up. The law is with you. And you are not alone.
Thank you.
