Sweating through 12–16 hour shifts with no rest? Breaking your back day after day without a single day off? This isn't just exhausting — it’s illegal. The law stands with you. These are your rights, not optional benefits! These rights apply to most workers in shops, factories, construction sites, and other registered workplaces. You cannot be forced to work more than 9 hours in a day or 48 hours in a week. After 5 hours of continuous work, you must get a 30-minute break. You have the right to one complete day off every week. No employer can take this away from you — it’s guaranteed by law! Overtime? Any extra hours must be paid at double your normal wage rate. This isn't a favor — it’s your legal right. Women workers have special protections for night shifts (7 PM to 6 AM). Your employer must provide: safe transportation to and from work proper security at the workplace and your written consent for night work Afraid your boss will fire you for speaking up?
